Our Commitment to Ethical & Sustainable Standards

We believe that great uniforms and merchandise should be produced ethically, responsibly, and sustainably.

To give our clients confidence, we work with suppliers who follow internationally recognised standards and systems. These fall into three main categories:

Our Commitment

Certifications

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production)

The world’s largest certification program for apparel and footwear factories. WRAP ensures clothing is made under lawful, humane, and ethical conditions, with safe workplaces, fair pay, and respect for workers’ rights.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

The GRS verifies the recycled content of materials and ensures they are processed under responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices. When we say a product uses recycled fabric or materials, GRS provides independent proof.

ISO Standards

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) sets the benchmark for quality, safety, and sustainability. From colourfastness and wash durability to workplace safety and environmental management, ISO certifications prove factories meet global best practice.

SA8000

A leading social certification focused on fair and decent working conditions. It covers worker rights such as no child labour, no forced labour, safe working hours, freedom of association, and living wages.

Audit Methodologies

SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit)

Based on the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, SMETA audits check factories for fair wages, safe working conditions, no forced or child labour, and environmental responsibility. It is one of the most widely used ethical audit tools in the world.

BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)

Run by amfori, BSCI provides a framework for improving working conditions in global supply chains. It focuses on fair treatment of workers, safe workplaces, and respect for the environment, with results scored from A (outstanding) to E (unacceptable).

ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative)

The ETI is a global alliance of companies, trade unions, and NGOs promoting workers’ rights. Its Base Code is the foundation for many audits (including SMETA and BSCI). It enshrines principles like freely chosen employment, fair wages, safe workplaces, and no discrimination.

Information Platform

Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange)

Sedex is not a certification, it’s a global platform for sharing ethical trade data.

Think of it as an “EDI for sustainability.” Instead of every buyer chasing suppliers for compliance paperwork, suppliers upload their data once into Sedex. Buyers like Creative Identity can then access verified information on labour rights, health and safety, and environmental practices.

By using Sedex, we gain real transparency across our supply chain, reducing duplication, improving visibility, and ensuring decisions are based on consistent, credible data.

How It Works: Full Supply Chain Visibility

We know that procurement managers need more than certificates to trust a supply chain. That’s why Creative Identity has built a supply chain mapping and auditing system that delivers confidence from raw material to finished product.

Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange)

Every supplier is screened not just for certifications, but for capacity, ownership, and historical performance.

End-to-End Supply Chain Mapping

From raw material mills, to dye houses, to cut-and-sew factories, to logistics partners, we track each stage.

Continuous Auditing & Monitoring

Ongoing audits, inspections, and digital monitoring of working hours, wages, and environmental data.

Traceability Dashboard

The ability to trace an order back to the exact facility it was produced in, with documented evidence at each step.

Actionable Reporting

Clear, auditable reports that reduce risk under Modern Slavery Acts and meet corporate ESG requirements.

Our Promise

We don’t just tick boxes. We give you complete confidence in your supply chain, backed by the systems, data, and evidence that prove it.
